Do you buy comics/toys/collectibles? 

We buy about a truckload of merchandise every day. Our buyer commutes between our different locations every day, so it is best to schedule an appointment with him if you are interested in selling. He can be reached directly at (540) 621-9274. At your appointment, he will assist in determining the value of your products and offer a simple yes or no to your asking price—nice and simple. 

Some products we frequently purchase: 

Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age Comics, Funko Pops, Marvel Selects/Legends,  Carded and Boxed Figures, Statues/Busts, DC Collectible Figures, Pokemon/Yugioh/Magic Cards.

At this time, we do not buy or sell sports cards, unauthenticated autographs, or damaged merchandise (smoke/water damage, ripped or torn pages, etc.)

What is my comic worth? 

This is a loaded question. The worth of a comic is contingent on many factors such as condition, year, edition/variant of the book, etc. We offer appraisal services for personal collections, or can help determine the value of your product if you are interested in selling.

How do I order books from you?

There are several ways to order products from us. We post a weekly order form that details every new release item for the following week, and new release items can be placed on hold via that form. We also have an online store full of 5000+ toys, statues, figures, and more that can be ordered for pickup in either of our locations or shipped domestically. However, if you see a product on our website or social media that you are interested in, you can simply contact us to have it set aside as long as it is still available. We will hold items for up to seven (7) days unless they are pre-paid. 

Do you ship internationally? 

At this time, we only offer domestic shipping. 

How does your subscription service work? 

Subscriptions boxes can be started with a minimum of just one book. Subscriptions must be approved by our customer service manager, and the products in your box must be picked up at least once a month. The easiest way to sign-up for a subscription box is to email a list of titles you would like pulled monthly to sales@gatewaycomicsandtoys.com. If you do not want every single issue of a title pulled or only want a few specific books, you can also place an order for new release titles on our website.  Head to the “Order Forms” section under the “New Releases” tab on our top menu to find upcoming new release order forms.

Can I have my items shipped to me? 

We will ship most of our products domestically, and can set up a mail-order subscription service as well. Please email us for more information or to set up a mail-order subscription service. 

Do you sell items on consignment? 

At this time, we are not selling items on consignment. 

I want to start reading comics, but I’m not sure what I want to read. Any recommendations? 

Sure! We love making recommendations. Just send us a message on social media, email us, or stop by the store to ask any member of our team for recommendations based on what you are interested in reading. 

Do you have any books for children? 

We have graphic novels, novels, comic books, board books, and more that are suitable for any age featuring superheroes, Disney Characters, famous idols, and more. We also offer a yearly free reading program, which we will resume in 2021. 

How does your rewards program work? 

It’s free, and simply requires a phone number. For every $24.00 you spend, you get one point. For every five points, you get 10% off towards your next purchase. You can stack your discounts up to 30%. Rewards expire after 90 days. Your information will never be shared or sold with a third-party. 

Do you send books off for grading?

Do you send autographs off for certification?

We partner with a great company, Comic Monster, that offers JSA Authentication services. For more information, give us a call at (540) 621-9274.
